Disturbed by the chaos in her family and endless arguments with her parents, she absorbed herself in music and before long realized that she wanted to be a professional musician. While still in highschool she joined a musical group and was invited to perform for Evan Rodgers. The producer was impressed by the ability of this girl. He asked the girl to move into New York in order to pursue a full-time career as a singer which she gladly did. Rihanna quickly became a star following her first release. Young people were captivated by her catchy songs which had them on their feet, and this led Rihanna into the film industry.
