Robyn Rihanna Rihanna is an Barbadian Singer-Songwriter whose hits included Pon de Replay, SOS Umbrella and Take a Bow. In her prime, Rihanna has emerged as one of music's most popular artists. Her parents hail from Barbados She began singing in the early years of her life. Disturbed by the chaos in her family and endless arguments with her parents, she absorbed herself in music and before long realized that she wanted to be a professional musician. While still in highschool she joined a musical group and was invited to perform for Evan Rodgers. The producer was impressed by the ability of this girl. He asked the girl to move into New York in order to pursue a full-time career as a singer which she gladly did. Rihanna quickly became a star following her first release. Young people were captivated by her catchy songs which had them on their feet, and this led Rihanna into the film industry. Talented and young, Rihanna is now regarded as a teenager-idol, and a fashion idol. Rihanna uses her celebrity to good use, and has been active in many charitable causes
